Holiday Boat Parade organizers have announced a wide range of sponsorship options for participation in the 44th Annual Holiday Boat Parade.

The theme for 2006 is “Water Winter Wonderland.”

The Marina del Rey Holiday Boat Parade is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, December 9th, in the Marina’s main channel.

A nonprofit organization, the Marina del Rey Holiday Boat Parade has sponsorship packages available to interested businesses, ranging from the “Admiral” sponsorship at $5,000, which includes a private yacht to entertain clients and business associates, “Commodore” sponsorship at $2,500 and “Captain” sponsorship at $1,000, which includes two Marina del Rey street banners for companies wanting to advertise their company logo for a seven-week period from November 20th to January 2nd.

Also, a “Supplier” sponsorship is available for sponsors to provide food, beverage and in-kind donations.

Prizes will be awarded to boaters in categories ranging from originality and best use of lights to music awards and best theme and individual awards.

Entry forms are available now at the Marina del Rey Visitors Center, 4701 Admiralty Way in Marina del Rey.

The winner of the “best overall” entry will receive a grand sweepstakes prize package.

Volunteers interested in helping to plan this year’s Boat Parade should attend a meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 19th, at the Best Western Jamaica Bay Inn, 4175 Admiralty Way, Marina del Rey.
