Were you born at the original Santa Monica Hospital in 1926, 1927 or 1928? If the answer is yes, then Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center wants you to be part of the official program at its 80th anniversary celebration.
The anniversary event is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, October 15th, outside the medical center at 1250 16th St., Santa Monica.
The celebration, which is open to all community residents, will include a street festival featuring free health screenings and health information, mini-massages, children’s activities, souvenirs and a historical fashion show.
The band Malpractice, featuring Santa Monica-UCLA physicians David Baron and Richard Frieder, and the Santa Monica High School Marching Band will provide musical entertainment.
Santa Monica “babes” who were born at the hospital during its first three years of operation are asked to call (800) 516-5323 with their contact information.
