No one was injured in a fire at a two-story home near Venice Beach early Sunday, May 21st, Los Angeles City Fire Department (LAFD) officials said.
Approximately 30 Los Angeles city firefighters were called at 8:16 a.m. to the single-family home at 30th Avenue and Speedway in Venice, where they reported seeing “heavy fire and smoke,” LAFD spokesman Ron Myers said.
The majority of the fire was confined to the first floor of the home, Myers said.
Firefighters extinguished the fire in about 15 minutes.
The damage estimate and cause of the fire remained under investigation at Argonaut press time.
