The Westchester/LAX-Marina del Rey Chamber of Commerce will offer a Human Resources and Employment Law Seminar Thursday, February 23rd, in the Westin Los Angeles Airport Hotel, 6200 Century Blvd., West-chester.
The 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. seminar will be divided into four sections and feature such topics as “Sources of Employment Law,” “The Hiring Process,” “Paying Employees,” “Controlling Workplace Security and Safety,” “Management and Terminating the Employment Relationship,” and “What to Do When You Get Sued.”
The seminar is $135 for chamber members, $165 for others and $85 for a second attendee from the same company.
The fee includes a continental breakfast and a lunch.
The seminar is designed to discuss “the multitude of issues facing businesses” through their “daily operations as well as updates on recent trends and developments,” said chamber president Cedric Sutherland.
The discussions will include complex litigation issues, information for human resource businesses and on issues of aggrieved employees and employment-related disputes.
