ICE at Santa Monica, downtown Santa Monica’s outdoor skating rink, has extended its holiday hours to midnight effective until Saturday, January 2nd.
The ICE rink boasts 8,000 square feet of real ice and a 400-square foot area for children aged six and under.
Located less than two blocks from the Third Street Promenade at Arizona Avenue and Fifth Street in the heart of Santa Monica, ICE opened October 27th and will continue to run through Sunday, January 31st.
After January 2nd, the rink’s hours will return to 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
Admission to ICE is $10 and includes rental skates. Both arenas offer skating lessons, season passes and special event options for birthday or holiday parties. For questions or group bookings, contact the rink manager at (310) 496-9880.
The rink is periodically cleared for short periods to groom the ice. If raining, the rink will remain open in light rain or drizzle conditions, closing only for heavy downpours.
