THE LANDMARK VENICE SIGN at Windward and Pacific avenues will be decorated with holiday lights during a ceremony beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30.

A Venice landmark will get a touch of the holiday spirit during the inaugural Venice Sign Holiday Lighting ceremony Friday, Nov. 30.
The festivities, which include a “Windward Holiday Crawl,” are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at Windward and Pacific avenues in Venice. Sign lighting is scheduled at 8 p.m.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Muscle Beach Toy Drive.
Presented by the Venice Chamber of Commerce Boardwalk Committee, the holiday lighting event will feature photos with Santa Clause, Jingle Bell Rockers, holiday shopping, parties, drink and food specials, art and live music.
“Iron Man” actor Robert Downey, Jr. is among those scheduled to attend and will help flip the switch for the Venice sign’s holiday lights, event organizers said.
The Muscle Beach Toy Drive will collect unwrapped toys and donors will receive a wristband that is good for discounts throughout the evening’s activities.
