The guitar-led organ trio, The Electones, will headline a free Jazz on the Lawn concert from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21 on the front lawn of Santa Monica City Hall, 1685 Main St.

The Electones will play a range of jazz, blues and soul from the traditional to the experimental.

The concert is a tour stop on Tour da Arts, vol. 3, an art-themed bicycle tour of the Santa Monica Museum of Art.

Free reusable bags will be made available to visitors by Green Vets LA as part of the Office of Sustainability and the Environment’s Bring Your Bag initiative. The city’s single-use bag ban goes into effect Sept. 1 and the free bags are to encourage residents to “bring your own bag” when shopping.

The Aug. 21 concert is sponsored by Los Angeles County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky as part of the Los Angeles County Arts Commission’s Free Concerts in Public Spaces program, which sponsors free concerts at community venues throughout Los Angeles County in order to provide access to quality music programm-ing that represents the diversity of county residents.

The sixth annual Jazz on the Lawn summer concert series is sponsored by the Santa Monica Cultural Affairs Department. Visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic, blanket and beach chair to enjoy the show.

Dessert trucks Lake Street Creamery and A ROCKin ICE Hawaiian Shave Ice will offer frozen treats, while IZZE Beverage Company and O.N.E. Coconut Water will provide complimentary beverages.

Free bike valet will be provided at City Hall parking lot, and free parking is conveniently located nearby at the Civic Center Auditorium at 1855 Main St.
