The Jennifer Diamond Cancer Foundation will host the fifth annual Jennifer Diamond Celebrity Sailboat Regatta Saturday, August 25th, at the Del Rey Yacht Club in Marina del Rey.

The regatta, which begins at noon, will be followed by an awards celebration and cocktail party.

The Jennifer Diamond Cancer Foundation was created by Jennifer Diamond’s parents, Harvey and Alice Diamond, in memory of their daughter, who died from appendiceal carcinoma in 2002.

The Jennifer Diamond Cancer Foundation is dedicated to helping people win the fight against all forms of cancer. It focuses on empowering people with knowledge, as well as supporting research and healing programs that provide the tools to help treat the mind and body as one.

Working in tandem with The Wellness Community, WeSpark, Gilda’s Club and the Cancer Center at St. John’s Hospital in Oxnard, the Jennifer Diamond Cancer Foundation has established cancer research libraries at their facilities throughout Southern California. These libraries are open to the public and stock the latest books, videos, and periodicals dealing with all forms of cancer.

State-of-the art computers are available to the public and trained research personnel are on hand for individual assistance. Proceeds from this and other fundraising events will help to create similar libraries throughout the Southland.
