The G2 Gallery in Venice will host a kick off party Sunday, Sept. 18 for its Community Sustainable Agriculture (CSA) California Produce Drop Stop program.

The celebration is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. at the G2 Gallery, 1503 Abbot Kinney Blvd., Venice.

The CSA California Produce Drop Stop is delivered to the G2 Gallery garage on Milwood Avenue every Tuesday, and members may pick up boxes of produce from 6 to 7 p.m. CSA California will donate $2 from every box sold to the Environmental Media Association’s School Gardens Program. To sign up,

All proceeds from the kick off party will support the School Gardens Program, which supports the learning gardens at local schools such as Westminster Elementary and Venice High School.

The event will feature a live demonstration by a raw vegan chef; a reading of “Feeling Great with Jasper State” by children’s book author Judith Johnson; samples of locally sourced artisanal foods; and speakers from CSA California as well as live membership sign-ups.

Admission is $5 at the door per person, or $10 per family, and free for anyone who joins CSA California.
