Twenty-five youths, ages six to 17, participated in a free youth tennis clinic hosted by the City of Santa Monica at Marine Park Saturday, December 1st.

Richard Goldenson, an instructor with the City of Santa Monica since 1996, led the clinic’s activities, which served as a preview of the upcoming Winter Break Youth Tennis Camp.

The winter camp, which is for youth tennis players of all levels of playing experience from ages six to 17, will have two sessions.

The first session is scheduled Monday and Wednesday, December 24th and 26th, and Thursday and Friday, December 27th and 28th, from 10 a.m. to noon. The second session is scheduled on Monday, December 31st, and Wednesday through Friday, January 2nd through 4th, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Both sessions will be conducted at Memorial Park, on 14th Street between Colorado Avenue and Olympic Boulevard in Santa Monica.

The fee for each four-class session is $100 for Santa Monica residents and $110 for non-residents.
