Legal Aid sues Los Angeles for civil rights violations of homeless in Venice

The Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles filed a civil rights lawsuit against the city of Los Angeles in the Central District Court for alleged violations of the rights of homeless persons in Venice Tuesday, Nov. 23.

The lawsuit accuses seeks injunctive relief on behalf of the plaintiffs and accuses city officials of violating the rights of homeless people secured by the Fourth, Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments.

The foundation is assisted by attorneys Michael Rapkin and Carol Sobel.
