Los Angeles World Airports officials have announced that long-term Parking Lot B at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) will be permanently closed to public parking effective Thursday, January 7th.

Returning passengers will be able to pick up their vehicles parked in Parking Lot B, located at 111th Street and La Cienega Boulevard, through Sunday, January 31st.

Passengers and visitors who normally use Lot B are now encouraged to park in economy Lot C, located at 96th Street and Sepulveda Boulevard, just north of LAX. Parking is free for the first two hours at Lot C, and $1 every two hours thereafter up to the $12 daily rate maximum.

Parking fees include the ten percent Los Angeles City parking occupancy tax.

Frequent, free LAX shuttle service is available 24 hours daily to transport travelers to and from Lot C to the airline terminals. Passengers returning to Lot B after January 7th will need to catch the Lot B/E shuttle on the Central Terminal Area upper level curbside by the employee shuttle stop sign in front of each terminal.

Accommodations are available for travelers with disabilities, and all LAX shuttle buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts. For more information and LAX parking lot maps, www.lawa.org/lax/.
