Christina Davis, president/CEO of the LAX Coastal Area Chamber of Commerce, has been installed as the new president of the Westside Council of Chambers of Commerce (WC3).

Davis was officially sworn in during an installation breakfast Feb. 15. The WC3 advocates for business issues on the Westside of Los Angeles County to advance business and business ideas regarding issues including transportation, entertainment, and tourism, locally and on the state and federal levels.

Founded in 1995, the WC3 is comprised of several of the leading chambers of commerce and businesses on the Westside of Los Angeles County including LAX Coastal, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Century City, Culver City, Malibu, Pacific Palisades, West Hollywood and West Los Angeles. Corporate members include The Gas Company, Playa Vista and Southern California Edison.

The installation breakfast, hosted by Sibyl Buchanan of Playa Vista, attracted an audience of nearly 80 chamber employees, board members, and organization stakeholders. The keynote speaker for this event was Hilary Norton of FAST (Fixing Angelenos Stuck in Traffic), who spoke about traffic studies and solutions for the Westside and encouraged chamber leaders to unite under this major issue.

The 2011-12 WC3 Board of Directors include president Davis of the LAX Coastal Area Chamber; vice president Sharon O’Rourke (The Gas Company); treasurer Steve Rose (Culver City Chamber); Buchanan (Playa Vista), secretary Genevieve Morrill (West Hollywood Chamber) and immediate past president Susan Bursk (Century City Chamber).
