Rotary Club used book sale; Paseo del Rey raffle; singles group event for homeless
The LAX Kiwanis Club’s 20th Annual Golf Tournament will be held Monday, April 18 at MountainGate Country Club in Brentwood, just north of the Getty Center.
A goal of the LAX Kiwanis Club is to invest in the future of the community by supporting programs for local youths. In 2010, the organization raised over $30,000 for students from airport-area high schools, some of whom are now attending some of the finest universities in the country, according to the club.
The tournament, which is the club’s primary fundraising event, will begin with an 11:30 a.m. shotgun start, followed by live and silent auctions as well as a three-course dinner. The entry fee is $180 per player, but non-golfers may join for dinner only at a cost of $65 per person.
