Highways Performance Space in Santa Monica will present Liminal Bust, an evening of original dance theater from kDub Dance, Friday through Sunday, July 29 through 31.

Performances are scheduled at 8:30 p.m. July 29 and 30, and 7:30 p.m. July 31 at Highways, 1651 18th St. Santa Monica.

Liminal Bust follows five people in a waiting room who are struggling whether to delay or take actions against their predicament. Through a dance performance, the characters test their physical landscape in an attempt to uncover something deeper than the empty space that surrounds them.

In explosive surges to the floor and flights to the ceiling, the dancers head-butt the walls, their partners, and themselves as they rearrange the status quo. The show is set to a dynamic array of strings with live music by electronic cellist and composer Eric Mason and lighting from Mason T. Barker.

The show features kDub Dance performers Kate Hutter, Nick Heitzeberg, Andrea Sobke, Alexandria Yalj and Zsolt Banki.

The performance choreographer is Kevin Williamson.

Tickets are $20 for general admission and $15 for members, students and seniors.
