The seventh annual Loyola Marymount University Guitar Festival will take place in the Murphy Recital Hall from Friday through Sunday, March 25 through 27.
The festival kicks off with a performance by Marcin Dylla at 8 p.m. March 25. A technique workshop with Dylla will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 26.
A daytime concert from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 26 will showcase approximately 100 young guitar players in solo, small ensemble and guitar orchestra settings. Following the young artists showcase will be an ensemble coaching program and workshop with members of the Vida Quartet from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Internationally renowned performer Paul Galbraith will headline the March 26 evening concert beginning at 8 p.m.
A Galbraith masterclass program is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, March 27.
The Vida Quartet, a guitarist group from England, will conclude the festival lineup with a performance from 2 to 3 p.m. March 27.
