The Santa Monica Playhouse is hosting the West Coast premiere of Todd Susman’s Locked and Loaded, a dramedy about life, death and transcendence, with performances scheduled through April 16.

Shows will be presented at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 3:30 p.m. Sundays in The Other Space at the Santa Monica Playhouse, 1211 Fourth St.

Written by Susman, the performance features actors Paul Linke, Andrew Parks, Tarina Pouncy, Teresa Sciortino and Sandra Thigpen.

Locked and Loaded is directed by Chris DeCarlo, with incidental music by four-time Grammy-nominee John Forster and costumes by award-winning designer Ashley Hayes.

Locked and Loaded is produced by Santa Monica Playhouse as part of its 50th anniversary celebration of theatre.

Tickets are $26 on Fridays and Saturdays, and $21 for Sunday matinees. Discounts are available for students, seniors, teachers, members of the military and groups of eight or more. The show is rated R for strong language and sexual references.
