Burton Wilson, a longtime Marina del Rey resident who served with the U.S. Navy in World War II, has died. He was 87.
Wilson passed away peacefully in December, his family said.
Born May 20th, 1922 in Santa Monica, Wilson was an employee of General Telephone and Electric for many years.
A veteran of the armed forces, Wilson performed work on the Hoover Dam for a short time, his daughter Sandi LeBlanc said.
Wilson is survived by his daughter Sandi LeBlanc; son Rick Wilson; grandchildren Matthew Wilson, Tabatha Willis, Steven LeBlanc and Tobias Wilson; and 13 great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 5th at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1847 14th St., Santa Monica, followed by a light lunch at the Wilson home.
