Celina Zambon, one of Southern California’s premiere Flamenco dancers and choreographers, will present a 90-minute show with seven other performers in Los Angeles del Flamenco at 8 p.m. Saturday, June 5th and 6 p.m. Sunday, June 6th at the Morgan-Wixson Theatre, 2527 Pico Blvd., Santa Monica.

The Celina Zambon Flamenco Dance Company performance is a culmination of three years of intense direction and rehearsing for the eight professional dancers who will perform traditional numbers, including: Alegrias, Bulerias, Caracoles, Solea por Bulerias, Seguerillas, Sevillanas and Tangos.

Argentinean-born Zambon (choreographer, producer and artistic director) stars in the show with seven other professional dancers: Raquel Davies, Kelly Richardson, Valeria Isaac, Elizabeth Ipina, Mujon Baghai, Molly Sierra and Rene Gonera.

A Santa Monica resident, Zambon has 17 years of performance experience and has spent the last several years as the artistic director of her LA-based dance company. She is also an accomplished actress with credits in popular Argentinean television series, working with well-known directors, including the Oscar-winning Juan Jose Campanella.

The show also features world-renowned musical guests, including vocalist Antonio de Jerez, guitarist Kai Narezo, and Cajon percussionist Gerardo Morales.

“Our musicians and dancers will take the audience on a journey through Spanish music and dance,” Zambon says. “Guests will feel the authenticity, the dignity, the electricity, the integrity and passion of Flamenco. It will be an emotional experience for anyone in the intimate 200 seat theater, which will seem more like a genuine Spanish tablao.”

Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the door. However, Zambon advises purchasing tickets in advance, as the shows are sold out every year. Order by calling (310) 625-1715 or email to:
