Santa Monica Mailboxes & More, 3435 Ocean Park Blvd. No. 107, has agreed to honor the contracts of EarthInhabitant mailbox renters and give them an additional three months of free mailbox service.

EarthInhabitant, previously known as Service Max, at 410 Lincoln Blvd., Santa Monica, closed its doors in mid-September.

“This is a difficult situation and we are trying to make it as painless as possible,” said Alma Mills, owner of Santa Monica Mailboxes & More.

“People need access to their mail.”

To ensure the mail’s safety, articles of mail that remained at EarthInhabitant at the time of closure September 13th were taken to Santa Monica Mailboxes & More, where they are now located.

Information, Alma Mills at (310) 450-4479.

Mail that has been sent to EarthInhabitant since the closure can be picked up at the U.S. Postal Service Carrier Annex in Venice, 313 Grand Ave., near Windward Avenue.

Mail will be held for a limited time only, so customers who had mailboxes at EarthInhabitant should pick up their mail as soon as possible.

The Carrier Annex is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Saturday. Information, (310) 314-0093.

“I really appreciate Santa Monica Mailboxes & More for taking over the servicing and giving us three months free rental,” said Keith Kelly, a transferred box holder.

“I think their call-in mail check and the other services they provide are splendid.”
