A man received non-life-threatening wounds when he was shot by an unknown suspect from a vehicle in the 1800 block of 12th Street in Santa Monica Friday, November 11th, according to the Santa Monica Police Department.

Police were called to the scene at 8:33 p.m. regarding shots fired.

Preliminary investigation revealed that four men had been standing on 12th Street when the suspects’ vehicle drove into the area, police said.

One of the suspects inside the vehicle then allegedly fired several shots at the men, police said.

One victim was shot in the arm and hip area. The man’s wounds were not serious and he was taken to a local hospital for treatment, police said.

Police said descriptions of the suspects varied. The suspects were described as either Hispanic men or black men.

The suspects’ vehicle was described as a white or silver Honda Accord or Civic.
