The Mar Vista Fall Festival will return to Mar Vista Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20.
This year’s theme is “creative connections,” which focuses on recognizing the diverse ways in which Mar Vista community members connect with each other.
The festival will include live stage entertainment from various community schools, including the Mar Vista Elementary School chorus, the Webster Middle School band and chorus, the Richland Avenue Elementary School chorus, the Windward School Advanced Jazz Ensemble and additional community performing groups.
Other highlights will include a student art show, the Green Zone, slides and bouncers, games, a silent auction, food, arts and crafts, face painting and lots of community information booths and demonstrations.
Families who plan to attend are encouraged to walk, ride their bicycles or use the festival bike valet service at the park.
The fall festival is brought to the community by the Mar Vista Community Council with the assistance of Los Angeles Councilman Bill Rosendahl’s office, the Mar Vista Recreation Center, community sponsors and many community volunteers.
Mar Vista Park is at 11460 Woodbine Ave., Mar Vista.
