The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has closed one lane in each direction on Lincoln Boulevard (State Route 1) from Culver Boulevard to Bali Way in the Marina area until the summer. Two lanes in each direction will remain open.

The closures, which began Wednesday, February 21st, are part of the $9 million Lincoln Boulevard improvement project between LMU Drive and Bali Way, expected to be completed in spring next year, Caltrans officials said. The work includes creating an additional lane in various locations, widening at the intersection of Lincoln Boulevard and Mindanao Way as well as the Sepulveda Boulevard intersection, and signal and lighting improvements.
