A display of fireworks will light up the skies over Marina del Rey to usher in the new year, with a five-minute show beginning at the 30-second countdown to midnight.
The fireworks are presented by Zambelli Fireworks Internationale, which originated more than 100 years ago in Italy. The fireworks will be shot off the south jetty and can be viewed throughout the Marina, according to the county Department of Beaches and Harbors.
The best locations for viewing are Fisherman’s Village at 13755 Fiji Way and Burton Chace Park, 13650 Mindanao Way, according to Beaches and Harbors.
The New Year’s Eve fireworks spectacular is organized by the Marina del Rey Holiday Boat Parade committee and made possible with the contributions of the California Yacht Club, Del Rey Yacht Club, Dolphin Marina, Hornblower Cruises and Events, Ladies of Westchester Elks, Mare Co. Sails, Marina del Rey Convention and Visitors Bureau, Marina del Rey Hotel, Marina Harbor, Marina del Rey Lessees Association, Marina del Rey Marriott and Marina International Hotel.
Other contributions were from the Marina Venice Yacht Club, Mariners Village, Playa Sunrise Rotary Club, Playa Vista, Rainbow Acres on Washington, Ritz-Carlton, Russ Lesser, Sapori, Shanghai Red’s, Swagg Media, Tahiti Marina, Tony P’s, Villa del Mar Apartments and Marina and the Westchester Rotary Club.
Parking on New Year’s Eve is available in Los Angeles County lots throughout Marina del Rey.
