The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has scheduled closures of the Marina Freeway (State Route 90) connectors to the northbound San Diego Freeway (Interstate 405) at specific times on weekdays through Friday, January 11th.

The Marina Freeway west connector to the northbound 405 Freeway will be closed weekdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to Caltrans.

The Marina Freeway east connector will be closed weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The closures are part of the $167-million High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) project on Interstate 405 from the Marina Freeway to the Santa Monica Freeway (Interstate 10).

The project is expected to be completed by summer 2009, at which time the HOV lane on southbound I-405 will be continuous from the San Fernando Valley to Orange County.
