Blues musician Doug MacLeod and singer/songwriter Lawrence Lebo will perform during an evening of Peidmont Blues and American Roots music beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18 at McCabe’s Guitar Shop, 3101 Pico Blvd., Santa Monica.

Nominated for the 2011 Blues Music Award for Acoustic Artist of the Year, MacLeod will bring his Peidmont-style finger picking and blues vocals to the McCabe’s stage, while Lebo will celebrate the wide success of her third release titled, “Don’t Call Her Larry, Vol. 3: American Roots.”

MacLeod is a traveling artist who writes and sings original songs that are based on his own life and experiences. He is known for his superb songwriting, guitar wizardry, warm soulful vocals, wit and unforgettable live performances, a McCabe’s spokesperson said.

Lebo’s recordings have garnered rave international reviews, international airplay, and have been featured on National Public Radio’s Weekend Edition show, the spokesperson said.
