Conarpe was walking westbound in the crosswalk on Mindanao Way at Admiralty Way when he was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on Admiralty, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The vehicle, described only as a light-colored sedan, then fled from the scene, CHP officials said.
The CHP is investigating the incident as a hit-and-run and is asking any witnesses with additional information to contact CHP officials.
