A memorial mass for Mar Vista resident Frank Rosendahl will be held at 10 a.m. Labor Day, Monday, September 6th, at St. Monica’s Church, 725 California Ave., Santa Monica.

Frank Rosendahl — brother of Bill Rosendahl, candidate for the Los Angeles City Council 11th District — died Tuesday, August 24th, at the age of 67.

Frank Rosendahl had lived with his brother in Mar Vista for four years because of an illness.

He was born in Brooklyn, New York and attended Seton Hall University in New Jersey, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree.

He served in the U.S. Army during the 1950s and worked for the Ford Motor Company for 30 years.

He is survived by his five siblings, two sons, Frank P. and Christopher, and two granddaughters, Lauren and Samantha.

In lieu of flowers at the mass, the family requests that donations be sent to the St. Joseph Center, 204 Hampton Drive, Venice 90291-8633, or to the Mar Vista Family Center, 5075 S. Slauson Ave., Culver City 90230.
