The second annual Month of Photography Los Angeles (MOPLA), a celebration of the city’s photography community, will open with a reception from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, April 3rd at Bergamot Station, 2525 Michigan Ave., Santa Monica.
Presented by the Lucie Foundation, MOPLA features a variety of photography exhibitions and events throughout April. Official exhibitions are presented by the Frank Pictures Gallery and Robert Berman Gallery at Bergamot Station.
With the support of the photography community, MOPLA will showcase the work of 160 photographers through exhibitions, projections and discussions.
As an inclusive event, MOPLA aims to inspire and engage the professional, enthusiast, emerging artist and collector, both young and seasoned, an event spokesperson says. This event is intended to “organize and galvanize the already thriving photography and art community in LA,” the spokesperson says.
