Nine “fast-casual” restaurants have been added to the group of eateries planned for the rooftop dining deck at the new Santa Monica Place, say officials at mall owner Macerich.
The new three-level, open-air shopping and dining destination is scheduled to open on August 6th.
The additional restaurants include Charlie Kabob, a blend of Persian and California cuisine; Chick n’ Ribs, offering home-style barbecue favorites; Santa Monica-based Fatburger with its burgers, home-style onion rings, milkshakes and more; Manchu Wok, specializing in authentic Chinese dishes; and Pinches Tacos.
Other eateries include Sarku Japan, featuring made-to-order teriyaki and sushi; Stefano’s Pizza, offering East Coast pizza by the slice and pie, as well as other Italian specialties; locally owned Sushi Itto, with fresh sushi, sashimi and other Japanese dishes; and Wetzel’s Pretzels, offering its own pretzel creations, fresh lemonade and more.
Fatburger, Stefano’s Pizza and Wetzel’s Pretzels also have locations on the Third Street Promenade.
