The fifth annual ART for CLARE fundraiser benefiting the Santa Monica-based social service organization, CLARE Foundation, will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 12 at Bergamot Station, 2525 Michigan Ave., Santa Monica.

The event will offer visitors the chance to purchase art by some celebrities including Academy Award-winning actor Anthony Hopkins and highly regarded community artists including Billy Al Bengston and Ed Ruscha.

Some Los Angeles area restaurants will also offer free samples of their cuisine and patrons can bid on silent auction items that range from luxury vacations to high-end gym memberships.

The CLARE Foundation is a nonprofit organization that works to provide compassionate treatment and recovery services for substance abuse to individuals, families and the community. Each year, more than 30,000 people come to CLARE seeking help for themselves or a loved one, or information about recovery services, a spokesperson said.

Eighty-six cents of every dollar raised at the event will go to fund CLARE’s 11 programs.

The fundraiser is co-chaired by actress and best-selling author Meredith Baxter and Linde Caughey. More than 60 artworks by over 50 prominent Los Angeles artists will be exhibited at the event.

Tickets are $25 for general admission.
