Santa Claus will make a visit to the Venice Beach Recreation Center Sunday, Dec. 12, where the Fourth Annual Muscle Beach Venice Toy Drive will conclude.

Sponsored by Joe Wheatley Productions and, the drive is dedicated to providing new unwrapped toys to needy children in local communities.

Toys will be distributed by the Los Angeles Police Department Pacific division, which is hosting the event along with the city of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks.

“In this time of economic struggle, the toy drive is a great demonstration and opportunity for the gift of giving” promoter Wheatley said.

Concluding after six weeks, the toy drive will continue to accept new unwrapped toys between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 11 and 12 at the Venice Recreation Center, 1800 Ocean Front Walk.

On Sunday, Dec. 12, Christmas musical entertainment will be provided by “Flight 2 Dalite” starting at 1 p.m. Santa will be on hand at 3 p.m. in his sled provided by the LAPD to meet and greet the children and take photographs.
