Tony P’s Dockside Grill in Marina del Rey will host a charity luncheon and silent auction from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, August 13th, to benefit disabled children at Mychal’s Learning Place — a nonprofit organization that provides after-school activities to children 11 to 17 years old with developmental disabilities.

The second annual “Feed Your Face” luncheon at the restaurant at 4445 Admiralty Way will feature food, a silent auction and entertainment.

“Without our services, many of these children would not be able to experience the activities we offer, such as karate, bowling and dance,” said Ed Lynch, Mychal’s Learning Place executive director.

Lynch founded the organization in 2002 after his daughter died of an undiagnosed neurological disorder.

Lynch said that when his daughter was alive he had difficulty finding programs to help her with her development skills.

“Our program not only prepares these kids for adulthood through independent life skills, but we also teach critical social behaviors,” Lynch said.

Tickets are $50 for adults and $25 for children under the age of 18.
