The G2 Gallery in Venice is presenting Nature LA: Retrospective, a look back at highlights from past Nature LA exhibits, at the close of the first full year of this series through Jan. 2.
Curated by G2 Gallery Director Jolene Hanson, Nature LA focuses on the work of individual photographers based in the Los Angeles area whose passion is shooting in nature.
The inaugural exhibition of the Nature LA series featured underwater photographer Nick Fash in the fall of 2009, followed by a critically acclaimed exhibition of work by Larry Brownstein.
Participating photographers include Bernard Wolf, Sebastian Artz, Chloe Aftel, new work by Nathanial Havholm, and more.
The G2 Gallery is a green art space with a dedicated focus on contemporary nature and wildlife photography. Established in March 2008, the gallery presents exhibitions with eco-conscious themes, donating the proceeds from all art sales to environmental charities and hosts free concerts and lectures that bring awareness of critical issues to the community.
The gallery is at 1503 Abbot Kinney Blvd., Venice.
