iLCP RAVE: Retrospective, a series of nature and wildlife photographs, will be featured at the G2 Gallery in Venice Tuesday, Jan. 4.

Featured photographers in the retrospective include Jack Dykinga, who recently showed a Native American exhibit at the gallery, Garth Lenz, Brian Skerry and Paul Nicklen.

The International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP) conducts photographic expeditions to endangered ecosystems to visually document threatened flora and fauna. These trips are called Rapid Assessment Visual Expeditions or RAVEs. Working with local groups, the aim is to create awareness of the dangers facing these areas and persuade policy-makers and the public at large of the need to take action to preserve them.

The Jan. 4 showing will contain never before seen images from the two most recent RAVEs; Sacred Headwaters RAVE and Great Bear RAVE, both in British Columbia, Canada. In addition to these, nine others will be featured.

The exhibit will run through Feb. 13 and all proceeds will benefit the work of the International League of Conservation Photographers.

The G2 Gallery is at 1503 Abbot Kinney Blvd, Venice.
