No one was injured when a fire broke out on the second floor of a two-story residence on Gulana Avenue in Playa del Rey Saturday, May 30th, fire officials said.
Approximately 51 Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters were called at 5:13 p.m. to the 8200 block of Gulana Avenue, near 79th Street, in Playa del Rey, regarding a report of a structure fire, LAFD spokesman Devin Gales said.
When firefighters arrived they saw the second floor of the residence “well involved” with fire, Gales said. No one was inside the home at the time.
Firefighters contained the blaze to the residence and extinguished the fire in 21 minutes, he said.
