The Flight Path Aviation Museum board at Los Angeles International Airport has appointed new officers and welcomed two new members.

Flight Path operates an aviation museum and learning center in the Imperial Terminal at LAX.

At a recent meeting of the board of directors, Westchester resident Rowena Ake was re-elected as president and board chair. Ake, a past president of the Westchester Rotary Club and the LAX Coastal Area Chamber of Commerce, has served as Flight Path president since 1999.

She is a charter member of the Westchester Vitalization Corporation and received the coveted Silver Beaver Award for her extensive volunteer service to Boy Scouts of America.

Also re-elected to the board were vice presidents Ethel L. Pattison of Manhattan Beach and Vincent Migliazzo of Westchester, and Westchester resident John Garstka as chief financial officer.

Nancy Niles of Pacific Palisades was elected corporate secretary, succeeding Westchester resident Julie Judge, who retired from the board but will continue as an advisor. In addition, Jo Ann Hudspeth was elected treasurer to replace Richard Brubaker, who died recently.

The two new members who joined the board include Westchester resident Lynne Adelman, an account executive at The Argonaut newspaper, and John E. Burke, Jr. of Manhattan Beach, a logistics project specialist with FedEx. Adelman is a longtime Flight Path volunteer and former TWA and American Airlines flight attendant and flight service manager. Burke previously held several managerial posts with The Flying Tiger Line and is currently vice president of the Flying Tiger Retirement Club.
