A proposal to convert Olympic and Pico Boulevards into one-way corridors will be presented and discussed at a meeting of the City of Santa Monica Planning and Community Development Department from 6:45 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 12th, in the Ken Edwards Center, 1527 Fourth St. Room 103, Santa Monica.
In an effort to address concerns about Westside traffic, County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky commissioned a study addressing the conversion of Olympic and Pico Boulevards between Santa Monica and downtown Los Angeles into one-way paired streets.
Allyn Rifkin, a transportation planner who conducted the study, will present an overview of the proposal at the community meeting. Following Rifkin’s presentation, meeting attendees will have the opportunity to share their comments, concerns and suggestions, as well as ask questions.
