The City of Santa Monica Planning Commission has scheduled a special meeting for public hearings at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 14th, at City Council Chambers , Room 213, 1685 Main St., to consider;

3030 Olympic Blvd. (Lantana East), and 3131 Exposition Blvd. (Lantana South);

The applicant, Lantana-Hines Development, LLC, wants to construct two new three-story entertainment studio buildings with subterranean parking garages.

Lantana East would contain 64,105 square feet of floor area, and provide 200 additional parking spaces;

Lantana South would contain 130,000 square feet of floor area and provide 364 additional parking spaces;

Two tentative parcel maps would allow individual ownership of each building, with the land and parking held in common ownership;

The Santa Monica City Council would also be considering a number of neighborhood traffic protection land improvements, including curb extensions, dead-end streets and turn restrictions.
