The Del Rey Homeowners and Neighbors Associationís spring general meeting will feature a panel discussion addressing traffic issues in the community at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 26th, at the Playa del Rey Elementary School auditorium, 12221 Juniette St., Del Rey.

Recently reelected 11th District City Councilman Bill Rosendahl plans to moderate the panel, which will feature speakers from the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (DOT) and the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).

Representing DOT will be Mo Blorfroshan, transportation engineer for the western district; Sean Haeri, senior transportation engineer for planning and development; and Eddie Guerrero, transportation engineer for planning and development.

Panelists representing Caltrans are Leon Romero of the agencyís project management division; Jose Ventocilla of the construction division and Judy Gish of public affairs. Homeowners and Neighbors Association president Chris Nevil said that the panel plans to address a ìperennial concernî of Del Rey residents.

ìTraffic has always ranked at or near the top of community issues for our members,î Nevil noted. ìIt has been several years since we last had a meeting focusing on this subject. Meanwhile, development and traffic counts have only increased.

ìThis panel presents an opportunity for the public to share its concerns about traffic problems directly with knowledgeable representatives from both major transportation agencies, and with our city councilman,î he added. ìWe urge all interested residents to attend.î

The meeting will also include a biannual officerís election.
