A pedestrian crossing Lincoln Boulevard at Fiji Way in Marina del Rey was struck by a vehicle Thursday afternoon, prompting police to close off northbound lanes on Lincoln below Fiji.

The pedestrian was struck in the crosswalk at about 3:35 p.m., Sgt. Clifford Frazier of LAPD’S West Traffic Bureau said.

Details about the circumstances of the crash, the identity of the victim and the extent of the victim’s injuries were not immediately known, Frazier said.

Northbound lanes were reopened before 4:45 p.m.

UPDATE: At 5:02 p.m., Frazier said the victim was a woman who is alive and was transported to a local hospital. The extent of her injuries remains unknown.
