Los Angeles photographer John Humble will give a visual presentation about his photographs of Los Angeles at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 2nd, in the Martin Luther King Jr. Auditorium of the Santa Monica Main Library, 601 Santa Monica Blvd.
Humble’s exhibition, “A Place in the Sun: Photographs of Los Angeles by John Humble,” is currently on view at the Getty Center in Los Angeles. The exhibition focuses on his photographs of the Los Angeles River and the urban landscape.
For the past 30 years, John Humble has documented Los Angeles in large-scale color photographs that explore what he calls “the incongruities and ironies of the Los Angeles landscape.”
Humble’s work has been exhibited and published internationally and his photographs are represented in the collections of major museums in the United States.
