Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) is hosting a fifth set of meetings Wednesday, August 23rd and Saturday, August 26th, in a community-based planning process for the modernization of Los Angeles International Airport. LAWA is the City of Los Angeles agency that operates Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and three other Southern California airports.

The focus of the hearings will be to discuss preliminary concepts that were developed based upon public input received at outreach meetings held in March, April, May and July.

For public convenience, two meetings have been scheduled and the same material will be presented at both meetings:

n 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, August 23rd, or

n 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, August 26th.

Both meetings are to be held at the Flight Path Learning Center, Imperial Terminal, 6661 W. Imperial Highway, Westchester.
