The Santa Monica Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating three suspects wanted in connection with the sexual assault of a woman last month.

The woman told police that she was walking in the 800 block of Pico Boulevard in Santa Monica at about 2 p.m. Oct. 19, when she was grabbed from behind and dragged into the alley on the northeast corner of Lincoln and Pico boulevards, Sgt. Richard Lewis said.

While the woman was in the alley, three men allegedly attempted to remove her clothing while sexually assaulting her, Lewis said.

The victim notified police after she was able to fight off the suspects and run away, Lewis said.

The first suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his 30s, with black hair in a “buzz cut,” wearing a white T-shirt, black “Dickies” shorts and white socks.

The second suspect is described as a Hispanic man, in his mid-30s, wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans, and having a tattoo of a skull on his left forearm.

The third suspect is described as a white man in his late 30s, wearing a long sleeve black shirt over a white T-shirt, black “Dickies” shorts and white basketball shoes.

Police said an older model four-door brown Cadillac is possibly associated with the suspects.

The initial investigation is ongoing and anyone with additional information is asked to contact Det. Hicks at (310) 458-8983, Sgt. Jacob at (310) 458-8460 or the Santa Monica Police Department (24 hours) at (310) 458-8495.
