The Santa Monica Police Department will conduct a sobriety/ driver’s license checkpoint Friday, October 26th.
Police officers will be contacting drivers in the 2500 block of Lincoln Boulevard in Santa Monica to confirm their sobriety and driver’s license status. This is the first of several sobriety/driver’s license checkpoints to be conducted over the next year, police said.
Funding for the program was provided by a grant by the Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The Santa Monica Police Department encourages drivers to have a designated driver or call a taxi if they plan on drinking.
