Los Angeles World Airports is seeking applications for its Aviation Career Education (ACE) Academy.

The ACE Academy is a free week-long motivational program to provide students with a basic understanding of career opportunities within the aviation industry as well as a general knowledge about Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

The program is open to all Los Angeles-area seventh- and eighth-grade students between the ages of 12 and 14, and high school students in Westchester, Playa del Rey, El Segundo, Hawthorne, Inglewood, Lennox and South Los Angeles.

Applications from all students will be accepted, but priority will be given to students in the areas surrounding LAX.

Applications will be accepted until all spaces have been filled.

LAX Junior ACE runs from Monday, July 10th, through Friday, July 14th, for students in seventh and eighth grade.

LAX High School ACE runs from Monday, July 24th, through Friday, July 28th, for students in grades nine through 12.
