The Rotary Club of Venice-Marina is scheduled to sponsor a Halloween-themed pancake breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, October 27th, at Los Angeles City Fire Station No. 63, 1930 Shell Ave., Venice. The public is encouraged to come dressed in their Halloween costumes.
The club is holding the breakfast to raise funds for Venice High School Achievement of Excellence awards letterman jackets. Students who have achieved a GPA (grade point average) of 3.75 or higher, perfect attendance or raised their GPA one full point within the year are awarded a letterman jacket with a Rotary emblem.
Fifty-three students are expected to receive a jacket this year, breaking a record from previous years.
The cost to fund each jacket is approximately $100.

Door prizes at the pancake breakfast include a chance to win dinner for four at Fire Station No. 63 and a ride on the County Sheriff’s Department Marina del Rey Station boat.
Donations for the breakfast are $5. Proceeds from the pancake breakfast will benefit Fire Station No. 63.
