A 22-year-old Santa Monica man and a 23-year-old Los Angeles man were shot to death after they got out of a vehicle near the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum early Friday, March 28th, police said.
Santa Monica resident Clifton Hibbert, Jr. and Kenneth Patterson, Jr. of Los Angeles were returning from a party when they were dropped off near Figueroa and 42nd streets in Los Angeles at about 1:50 a.m., Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) South Bureau homicide detectives said.
After the two men got out of the vehicle, a suspect confronted them and allegedly fired multiple shots, striking both of them, LAPD South Bureau police said. The two victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not identified any suspects and are investigating a possible motive for the shooting.
