The Santa Monica Playhouse will present two performances of the Annual All-New One-Time-Only New Year’s Eve Revue to usher in the new year.

The shows will be the final festivities of the playhouse’s 50th anniversary celebration with an all-new evening of audience favorite songs, dances, comedy and other delights from five decades of critically-acclaimed Santa Monica Playhouse productions. Some highlights include finger-snapping 1940s jazz to foot-stompin’ country rock, and Jewish patter songs to romantic ballads.

The event features a complimentary buffet dinner, champagne, favors, hats and the chance to win special prizes.

Performances are scheduled at 6 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31 on the Santa Monica Playhouse main stage, 1211 Fourth St., Santa Monica.

The late show at 9:30 p.m. gives audiences the chance to celebrate the changeover to the new year in the theatre with the members of the Santa Monica Playhouse Actors’ Repertory Theatre. The “early-bird” 6 p.m. celebration offers everything that the later show does and a chance to celebrate New Year’s Eve early with the entire family.

The show is directed by Arthur R. Tompkins, with words and music by Evelyn Rudie, Matthew Wrather and Emery Bernauer. Featured in the cast are members of the Actors Repertory Theatre with special appearances by Rudie, Chris DeCarlo and guest artist Karli Jo List.

Tickets are $39.50 for the 6 p.m. performance, or $49.50 for the 9:30 p.m. performance. Discounts are available for students, teachers, seniors, the military and groups of 10 or more. Special discounts are available at the 6 p.m. performance for ages 12 and under.
