Santa Monica police are looking for a suspect who allegedly fired at a man in a vehicle on Cloverfield Boulevard in Santa Monica Thursday, June 1st.

Police were called at 7:14 p.m. to the 2000 block of Cloverfield Boulevard regarding a report of shots fired.

When officers arrived, they spoke to a man who said he was seated in his vehicle when he saw the suspect in his rear view mirror.

The man, who saw the suspect allegedly holding a gun, ducked down in the passenger seat of his vehicle and heard several shots, police said.

Apparently, one of the bullets went through the rear window, but the victim was not injured, police said.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male juvenile, wearing a hat or watch cap, white T-shirt and baggie blue pants.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the incident is gang related, police said.
